HELPR-1 – Deckhand

SUMMARY
Deck Hands are responsible for the operation of the tenders, conduct maintenance throughout the ship and on the tenders, complete tasks within the planned maintenance system and conduct lookout duties when required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving of tenders, Zodiacs and rescue boats.
• Complete the deck tender logbook entries.
• Complete mud maps.
• General maintenance and vessel cleanliness as required by the ship board management.
• Lookout duties as required by the ship board management.
• Participation in drills as required by Statutory Regulation and undertake other shipboard/shoreside training as required by the Company.
• Attend crew meetings.
• Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the ship board management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Required to work as part of a high performing team/crew in the provision of the overall cruise experience for guests and employment experience for crew.
Required to maintain the highest standards of behavior and discipline.
Required to undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the Master.

CERTIFICATES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As per the jurisdiction of which the vessel is operating in at the time of deployment.

FOOD AND ACCOMMODATION

Food is provided free of charge whilst aboard the vessels.
As per the Navigation Act, it is the responsibility of all crew to keep crew quarters clean and presentable at all times. Quarters will be inspected periodically by Master and Purser.

Shared Mess room and Laundry is provided on board
